These items were created as part of a design partnership with Marissa Salazar. As two nerds on the loose in Japan, we quickly discovered our shared interest in art, design, and eco-friendly living. We founded Kogingko in 2017 as a design partnership focusing on creating sustainable, ethical, and functional goods for everyday life. At the root of Kogingko is the simple, but powerful drive: add meaning back into what you buy.
The ceramics featured on kogingko are my own work. They are first crafted on the potters wheel and then the finishing touches are added by hand carving. I wanted the design aesthetic of the brand materials to carry the same sense of motion as the ceramics.

Business Cards

I created two different types of cards. The first card is a customer thank you card. It allows for name customization, information about the individual piece of art, as well as social media information. The red mark at the bottom is my official potters mark in Japanese. The second card is a standard business card with card with contact information. Both of these cards are packaged along with the ceramics.

Packaging

All of the ceramics are packaged in recycled plain cardboard boxes with a single sticker across the cover. The sticker needed to maintain a minimal appearance to compensate for the bright colors used elsewhere.
